Workshop Refurbishment

8th January 2015

To create a safer and improved working environment for our workforce we decided to invest in refurbishing our workshop areas. As part of the refurbishment we also wanted to re-design the workshop to make it more efficient.

To create a better working environment for our workforce we wanted to have as many of them as possible in the same workshop. To do this we removed all the machinery and storage racks out of one unit so we could create an assembly area for each fabricator/welder. All the machinery was then laid out in our middle unit to give a better work flow. Material is stored so it can be loaded directly onto our Bystronic laser cutter, from there it moves onto our CNC Amada press brake and then into the assembly workshop. For larger fabrications and a finished goods area we have refurbished our third unit giving us an open area of over 6000 square foot.

Refurbishing the workshops was quite a task having over 25 years of dust and welding fumes to remove took a lot of hard work. Most of this work was completed by our own employees take a look at the photos they did a great job.
